Now that Christmas and holiday festivities have come to an end (and New Years is right around the corner) you might be wondering what’s next on your social calendar. When will you get the opportunity to wear that sequined dress that you purchased for your New Years gala? How will you continue to spend quality time with friends at swanky events in the city?
You won’t have to wait long! For the sixth consecutive year, the Jamaican red carpet soirée, a charity ball that will benefit high school students in Kingston, Jamaica will take place right in the heart of Washington DC on Saturday, January 13th. Tickets are going fast, and if you purchase one before January 1st you’ll get the early-bird pricing ($25 off). Tickets can be purchased through January 9th on eventbrite.
Last year’s soirée was a roaring success, bringing together a crowd of some of the finest and brightest philanthropists in the DC community. Don’t miss a chance to attend this authentic Jamaican-themed event and support students in need while doing so.
The soirée will be held in the elegant atrium of the National Education Association (NEA) Building. Enjoy sumptuous Jamaican cuisine, an open bar, and entertainment from the Bob Marley Dance Studio along with a live band. All proceeds from the Jamaican-themed fete will benefit students from two high schools in Kingston, Jamaica.
