I’m sharing another one of my favorite winter looks today. Fur accessories, lace clothing, and gold accents can often be thought of as too dressy for the everyday, but here’s how to make this style work as upscale streetwear. This look is especially useful for those sub-freezing days.
The blouse I’m wearing is from the new online boutique Whistle & Wild. I fell in love with the vintage, glam, and southern-inspired pieces in this shop, which are simultaneously unique and trendy. I’m wearing the Cordelia top in this picture, which I absolutely love. I usually wear an extra small in tops and was nervous about the sizing (only comes in S,M, L), but the size small fit perfectly. You can use my promo code Urbann for 15% off your purchase at Whistle & Wild.
The fur vest is a unique item from a vintage boutique in Bruges, Belgium, but here are links to some other options like this super fun Heartloom two-tone fur vest, and this chic Napa Valley faux fur vest. I also stumbled upon this Alice + Olivia fur vest available secondhand from the Real Real (What a steal; someone please buy this!), and this irresistible Juicy Couture vest from Nordstrom Rack, which is almost sold out.
I an in love with the mock neck, lace detailing on the wrists, and the puffy sheer sleeves on the Cordelia blouse. There are pleated ruffles across the breast of the top and the rest of the bodice has a black zig zag pattern over mesh. It can be worn alone or with a cami or tank underneath for an office-friendly look. It works well with skinny jeans, or with black or colored dress pants.
This look works well with gold jewelry and accents like the rings and earrings I’m modeling above and the black and gold clutch from the previous picture (a gift from Pakistan!). I’m linking to a few gold clutches here from Alice + Olivia and Kendall + Kylie.
